I feel like the carbonation getting released from a soda!
Sweet release, only to be bottled up again for a short time and released again
and again until finally you are to your last drop... and it… is…DONE! J
Today I had a follow
up appointment with my Oncologist to go over a few things since my
Hysterectomy, CT scan, and “Forgotten Ovary” surgery. I have placed on a new
medication called Arimidex, it is for post menopausal (ME because of the
surgeries), to block any estrogen receptors. Making it harder for the tumor
tissue to re-grow! Unfortunately this is a pill I have to take for five years!
Fortunately it is a pill that I can take that can reduce the chance of
reoccurrence within the next five years! Woot Woot! Worth taking a pill every
day for five years!
Next we discussed follow up treatments, and since I have to
follow up with my Primary every six months, I only have to go back to the
oncologist every six months (Rotating months, meaning I still have to see a
doctor every three, but still!!) This is of course pending all future scans and tests that need to be done, and if anything ever pops up, I am able to go in and see them. Bone density scan, MRI and PET scan will all be scheduled after my next surgery! Can I get another Woot woot!!! Can you hear
the fizz escaping? I CAN!! I still have a long way to go to get back to “me”,
and I still have one major surgery and a few minor ones to get me “looking
normal”.
I can see the end, it is coming,
and it is such a glorious
sweet release!!
